The terms of using Tohm.

Tohmis a book-launch checklist tool: you sign in with an email, enter a release date, and work the dated tasks in your personalized checklist. These terms cover what the service is, what it isn’t, how accounts and one-time payments work, what counts as acceptable use, and the liability limits that apply to every tier.

Read this if:you are about to create an account, buy the 8-week or 12-week tier, or want to understand what Tohm is responsible for — and what it isn’t.

Acceptance

Accepting these terms.

By creating a Tohmaccount, completing a checkout, or working through a checklist, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The most recent version always lives at this URL and the date at the top of the page marks the most recent revision.

The service

What Tohmis, and what it isn’t.

Tohmis a book-launch planning aid. It ships a personalized, dated task checklist tied to the release date you enter — the static tasks that make up a 4-week, 8-week, or 12-week launch runway, plus any custom tasks you add on top. Tohm keeps your checklist state, sends a daily digest of the day’s due tasks, and helps you work the runbook end to end.

Tohm is not a publisher, a publicist, a reviewer outreach service, an advertising agency, or a guarantee of book-sales outcomes. We do not promise a number of reviews, a rank position, a bestseller list placement, or any specific commercial result from following the checklists. We provide the dated plan; the work — and the outcome — is yours.

Accounts & sign-in

How accounts work on Tohm.

There is no password to remember. An account is created the first time you submit your email on the magic-link login form or the start form, and a one-time sign-in link is sent to that address. Click it and you are signed in for the session. We use better-auth for the session cookie; Tohm never stores a password hash because we never ask for one.

  • You are responsible for the inbox. If someone else can read your email, they can sign in. Use an address you control, and sign out on shared devices.
  • One book per account. The checklist is shaped around a single release date. Starting a second book means starting a second account with a different email.
  • No account recovery by password. If you lose access to the inbox, mail us and we will help you move your checklist to a working address.
Free tier

The free 4-week tier.

The 4-week runway is free — no payment, no trial clock, no auto-conversion into a paid plan. It is a standalone product, not a sample of the 8-week or 12-week tiers. We may add, change, or remove features on the free tier at any time; the paid tiers are not affected.

Free accounts remain subject to the Acceptable Use section below.

Payments & refunds

How payments and refunds work.

Checkout is hosted by Stripe against the company’s Stripe Connect account. Stripe collects the billing details you enter at checkout (name, billing address, card number) and processes the charge under Stripe’s privacy policy. Tohm never receives, stores, or sees your card number; it stores only the Stripe checkout-session id and a verified/unverified flag against your account.

All sales are final once your checklist is unlocked. The deliverable — access to your dated tasks — is delivered the moment the Stripe checkout verifies, and there is no separate physical shipment to undo.

Refunds are at Polsia’s discretion and are issued through Polsia support.Tohmcannot issue refunds from inside the app — if you believe a charge warrants one, mail booklaunchplan@polsia.app and we will route the request to the platform team.

Acceptable use

What counts as acceptable use of Tohm.

To keep the service running for the rest of the customer base, we ask every user to follow the rules below. Breaking them is grounds for suspension.

  • Do not reverse engineer or scrape the service. Don’t attempt to copy the roadmaps, the checklist engine, or any other part of the product for resale or redistribution.
  • Do not resell access. Your license covers you and your single book. Sharing your account or selling your access voids the license.
  • Do not upload illegal content. Custom-tasks fields and any user-supplied text are stored against your account — don’t put content in them that would be unlawful for us to host.
  • Do not bypass auth.Don’t try to read another buyer’s checklist, brute-force magic-link tokens, or work around access controls.
Intellectual property

Who owns what.

Tohmretains all rights to the roadmaps, the static task list, the copy, the product UI, the marketing pages, and anything else unique to the service. You retain the rights to your book content, your manuscript, your cover, and any derivative materials you produce working through the checklist. By uploading custom tasks, you grant Tohm a limited license to store and display that text back to you inside your checklist — no broader reuse.

Third-party services

Third-party services Tohm depends on.

  • Stripe (Connect).Handles one-time checkout and card processing for the 8-week and 12-week tiers under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy.
  • Polsia email proxy. Relays magic-link sign-in emails, Stripe payment receipts, and the daily due-task digest. Tohm does not run its own mail servers.
  • Render (hosting).Hosts the application and its managed database. Subject to Render’s status and uptime.

We do not use third-party marketing trackers or cookies. The privacy page lists each of these vendors and the slice of data each one receives.

Disclaimer of warranties

No warranty on outcomes.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that following a Tohm checklist will produce specific sales, reviews, chart positions, list placements, or any other commercial outcome. The deliverable is the dated checklist itself.

Limitation of liability

The limits on what Tohm is liable for.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tohm’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is capped at the amount you paid Tohmfor your tier in the twelve months preceding the claim. Free-tier users’ cap is the equivalent of the lowest priced paid tier in that window. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost sales, lost reviews, or lost commercial opportunities.

Termination

When accounts can be suspended.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the Acceptable Use section. We will give notice when we can. Buyers may stop using the service at any time and can request permanent deletion of their account and checklist — the procedure is described in the Privacy Policy. Paid tiers are not entitled to a pro-rata refund on termination; the Payments & refunds section above governs.

Changes to these terms

How changes to this page are handled.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes to the revision date. Continued use of Tohmafter a posted change means you have read and accepted the new version. Material changes — anything affecting payment, liability, or data sharing — are also called out in the next transactional email round.
